Lebanese bellydancer Shahraman, whose career started when she was offered a contract in Aleppo, Syria at short notice. She had only a month in which to learn how to put together a belly dance show. She later went back to Beirut to study and perform. In the 1990s she became well known through her appearances on tv in Lebanon and as the dancer for many popular singers including Najwa Karam, George Wassuf and Fares Karam. She’s also been the cover dancer on several of Setrak Sarkissian’s bellydance music cds. She has now retired from performing and runs a successful costuming business in Beirut, Lebanon.
