This is Egyptian dancer Nabaweya Mustafa performing in a scene from the 1949 Egyptian film ‘Eweaa al Mahfaza’ (اوعى المحفظة known in English as ‘Watch Out For Your Wallet’). The singers in this scene are Suad Mekkawi and Mahmoud Shekuku and the woman in the fur coat is Lola Sedky.  The movie starred Mahmoud Ismail (who also directed), Hassan Fayek and Taheya Karioka.

Horeya Mohamed and Marie Munib (1949)

Horeya Mohamed is the dancer wearing trousers and shirt in this clip from the 1949 Egyptian film ‘Assir al Ayoun’ aka ‘Assir el Aioun’ (اسير العيون The Prisoner of Her Eyes).
The lady in the white dress who corrects Horeya’s dom and tek is legendary Egyptian comedienne Marie Munib who was born in Syria (or Lebanon) in 1905 as Marie Habib Salim Ibrahim (or Nasr). She moved with her family to Cairo when she was very young and starting her stage life working as a dancer in Rod (Road) al Farag, an area of Cairo that was known at the time for its many nightclubs. Marie Munib worked with several theatre companies including that of Naguib al Rihany and then had a long career in Egyptian movies often playing a tyrannical mother-in-law. She married actor Fawzi Munib when she was probably only 13 or 14 and, despite their divorce in 1935 and her later remarriage, she retained his name. Mary Munib died in Cairo in 1969.
Trivia: Mary Munib was the grandmother of well known Egyptian singer Aamer Munib who passed away in 2011.

Taheya Karioka performs in a scene from the 1949 Egyptian film ‘Manadil al Helou’ (The Beauty’s Veil منديل الحلو). The film starred Taheya, along with Mahmoud El Meligi, Marie Munib, Mahmoud Abdel Aziz and Aziza Mohamed.
